Head of Department Science Workplace: Erlangen

• 1-year appointment. The position comes with a teaching component.
• 9 release lessons bi-weekly, 3.000 € annual stipend

Responsibilities:

• Teach and manage the educational program relevant to subject and grade level(s) based on the FIS curriculum
• Lead and manage the whole school Science Department (Primary and Secondary)
• Responsibilities according to FIS Teacher/HoD Job Description

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Teaching qualification with valid teaching license, if applicable
• Relevant University degree
• Ability to work in a team
• Strong focus on student-centered learn­ing
• IPC, PYP, MYP or DP curriculum experience preferred
• Experience in an international school an advantage
• Experience as HoD / in Curriculum Leadership preferred
• Minimum of five years teaching experience preferred
